It's been a while since I had anything much worth talking about, not that this is going to qualify either, but I don't want Blogger deleting me for inactivity. Work has enveloped me the past 8 months or so, but now spring is here and there's yard work to be done.
Today's project is getting rid of a particularly swampy troublesome spot in my yard. The north side of the house was a mess and either a muddy mess or just a big clump of moss (no Mom, not moths).
Step one. Dig out the grass/moss.
Step two. Reposition the boarder.
Step three. Put down a weed barrier.
Step four. Lay the pavers and then fill in the blank spots with gravel.
Step five. No more muddy feet.
Before the rain drown me out I made it through step 1.
Forgot to get a picture before starting, but imagine the round and square pavers still in place and no grass dug out.
Nearly done, and wouldn't you know it, the inevitable misty stuff from the sky starts to fall.
Got the grass and moss all scooped up, but the mud was too slippery to continue so had to stop for today. Pretty good sized puddles are growing as the rain continues.
Yeah, the rain can be annoying sometimes, but look at that brilliantly green grass and trees! It's so well worth it.
More to follow!
