All Moved In!

My dream house.


Well, it's been a while since I've taken the time to post but this pic is one of the biggest reasons why. One day back in July I got a wild hair and decided to "maybe look for a house." Well, long story short, within two weeks I'd found my dream house, made an offer and was hurdling my way towards escrow. I've been in the house for about a month and simply adore it. My lot backs up to and is flanked on the right by a protected greenbelt... no neighbors in the back now or ever. It's a very private lot in a really wonderful neighborhood. A real plus is I'm about 10 minutes from work so no more killer commutes.

I've just started tinkering with the landscaping. Taking out overgrown things I don't like and buying a few things here and there. Last weekend I washed my car in my own driveway for the first time ever! And parking in the garage is just too much fun.

I spent about an hour out in the yard tonight flinging slugs over the fence that I'd skewered on the end of a stick. Those have to be the most disgusting creatures on the planet. I suppose they'll just ooze back (since I think they are indestructible), but I'm not going to make it easy for them.
